The Port of Houston’s decision to develop an area of land near State Highway 146 and Red Bluff Road — and to better accommodate railway traffic — led them to FUSED Civil. Our team got to work clearing acres of land and ensuring every necessary element was safely in place. From construction of the project’s heavy-gauge railway, to installation of the signals, crossings and culverts, FUSED had every element under control. The finished product will be a rail storage yard that connects to the local Union Pacific rail network. The rail storage yard will be used by the Port of Houston for shipment of containers from their Bayport Terminal.
